To help you determine if we’re the right photographers for your event, wedding, engagement or portraits, we’ve put together a list of most frequently asked questions.
Q. Do you always shoot together as a husband and wife team?
A. Yes! We choose to photograph together because it works well for us and for the bride and groom. Plus, we thoroughly enjoy working together.
Q. Do you shoot digital or film?
A. All digital. Not only can we shoot hundreds and thousands of images, but it provides a lot of flexibility with what we can do to them during the post-processing.
Q. What is your style?
A. Our style is a blend of portraiture and candid photography that will tell a story of your wedding day. We also understand and appreciate the importance of having posed family pictures and formals as well. It’s not everyday all of your family and friends are together in one place.
Q. Does putting my retainer down hold the date at the current prices?
A. Sort of. Not only do we require the $750.00 Non-Refundable Retainer Fee to book your date, we also require an initialed and signed contract. This grants you the price you were quoted at the consultation. However, if after our meeting, you leave without signing a contract and paying the retainer fee, the date is not held and prices are subject to change at any time.
Q. What happens if you are unable to photograph my wedding?
A. We will make every attempt to be at your wedding, even if it means coming ill. If something drastic should happen, all of your money paid up to that point will be refunded, or I will find a replacement [upon your approval] to shoot your wedding. I have several photographer contacts who are more than able to cover in my place.
Q. How long does it take to view our images?
A. Your online gallery of images will be made available approximately 30 – 60 days from your wedding date.
Q. How will I view my pictures when they are ready?
A. After your pictures are edited, we will upload them to your own password protected gallery. We will email you the information for your gallery: gallery link and password. You will be able to share it with friends and family and ordering is very easy!
Q. Does having the CD/DVD give me the right to print wherever I choose?
A. Yes, you may print at the location of your choice. We color correct every one of your images so they will print out fine wherever you go to print. Keep in mind that Walgreens and Wal-Mart do not offer the same professional paper as “Professional” labs and print quality may not be the same. Check all print orders before leaving the store. Your images were professionally color corrected and there should be no reason for poor prints.
Q. Do you sell albums?
A. Most definitely. Albums are often overlooked. In our opinion, they are one of the most important pieces to your photography package. It’s a whole different experience to be able to see your wedding in a story layout rather than loose prints. We will custom design your album to the theme of your wedding in a beautiful [up to 10x10] coffee table book style album from Asukabook. Miniature parent albums [5x5] are also available.
Q. How do I change an image to black and white or sepia?
A. During the editing process, we go through and enhance some of the photos using various techniques. If for some reason an image you really like was not made black and white or sepia, you can do that when you go to print them out. We shoot all of the images in color to give you more options later. A color print can always be changed to something else, but you can’t make a black and white image turn into color. For space reasons on our computer, we limit the amount we do only in back and white or only in sepia because that can be done by you later with the touch of a button [for no extra charge] at the time you go to print.
Q. Can I use a credit card to pay for my order?
A. If you have a PayPal account [https://www.paypal.com], you may use a credit card to pay for your photography service. Setting up a PayPal account is free as well. There is an additional 3% charge to cover the fees associated with this method of payment. Otherwise cash or check [personal or certified] is fine, and the balance is to be paid 14 days prior to your wedding date.
